Avalanche - Jikook

Chapter Text

"How dare you run away, sweetheart? How could you run away from me? Don't you know how mad can I get sometimes? I never want to hurt you but you always force me to do it."

"Don't do this Ahn. I'll never try to run away from you ever again. I'll do everything you want but please don't hurt me. I can't take it anymore."

"I know you will never even think about running away from me again when I'll punish you. And you're talking about running huh? You'll not be able to even walk again after what I'm going to do with you."

"No no no. Please don't do this. Please."

And with a loud cry, Jimin woke up from his sleep. This was not the first time when Jimin woke up in the middle of the night sweating and crying. It was now his routine to wake up almost every night and that night was not different from the others. But there was one thing different. It was raining heavily outside and there was a sound of water pouring down on the trees and the ground unlike other silent nights when there was not a single sound outside.

Jimin quickly got up from his bed and went to the bathroom to wash his face. As soon as the cold water came in contact with his face he sighed heavily.

"It was only a dream Jimin. You are safe here. You aren't in Busan anymore. No one is going to hurt you here," he muttered trying to calm himself down.

After his breathing became normal and his heart started beating at a normal pace, Jimin came out of the bathroom and slipped in the sheets on his bed again but now he was wide awake as usual. He looked at the wall clock and cursed himself, "tomorrow is my first day at college and I'm here wide awake at four. I'll be looking like a zombie in the morning."

He closed his eyes and tried to sleep again. Luckily he slowly and peacefully drifted into sleep as he didn't get enough sleep for at least a whole week. Those dreams and voices were always keeping him awake at night and if he ever succeeded in sleeping for at least a few hours, it was like a blessing for him.

Jimin's POV

I woke up at the sound of my alarm in the morning. It was 7 am and I had to reach the college in half an hour. I got up from the bed and went to the bathroom to finish my morning routine. I was a bit excited as it was the first normal thing I was going to do in the past few months. I just wanted to live a normal life with a happy family but I guess it was not in my luck and I've finally accepted my fate.

I put on a white shirt with black leather jeans and tied a necktie around my neck. I liked wearing it. I'm well aware of my feminine appearance and I'm totally comfortable with it. There was a time when boys used to call me a girl and bullied me but when I became mature those were the same boys who started asking me for my phone number.

I went to the kitchen and fixed myself a sandwich. I'm living alone here. I used to live in Busan before but now I don't even want to remember anything from my childhood when I was with my family or anything else from my past. I only miss Taemin hyung. He is the only person in my life whom I can trust right now. But unfortunately, he is back there in Busan too and I don't want to go back to that place ever again.

I was too engrossed in my thoughts that I even forgot about the college. I quickly got out of my apartment and started walking towards the college. Luckily it wasn't too far from my apartment and I had to walk there because I used to have a car before but I don't have one now.

Today is my first day at college as well as at my new job. When I came to Seoul, I started working as a bartender to pay my bills and I also needed money for college but it wasn't comfortable for me because people used to flirt with me all the time. Well, I still did that job for two months, earned some money to start my college and now that I got the job of a waiter, it is so much better than the previous one.

I walked fast to the college and luckily reached there in time. When I entered the gate, I promised myself to give my best here and not to indulge in any kind of drama. I walked up to my class and took a seat near the window. I wasn't really in the mood of talking or interacting with anyone so I just sat there and started looking at the beautiful view out of the window. There was an old tree with light purple flowers and a bench in front of it. Birds were chirping happily and I sighed at how even those birds had a better life than mine.

Author's POV

Jimin was minding his own business sitting quietly in the class when a boy walked up to his seat and started gawking at him with some other boys beside him.

"Hey, pretty boy! It looks like you don't know anyone here and probably have no friends. We can be your friends if you want," one of the boys said walking close to Jimin, and Jimin was definitely not liking his tone so he just stayed quiet and kept looking out of the window without even sparing a single glance at the boy.

"I think pretty people have a pretty less listening ability," the boy uttered with gritted teeth, not liking the fact that Jimin was ignoring him and he was feeling insulted in front of his friends because of that.

Jimin wanted to fight back but he really didn't want to create any kind of drama on the first day. And the other reason was that he was already tired of people calling him pretty and flirting with him like he was some girl. They always pushed him to fight back and show his strength.

"I'm talking to you doll face."

"You know what! I think people like you have a pretty less seeing ability that's why you can't see that I don't want to talk to you," Jimin replied still looking outside the window and trying to stay calm.

"Look at yourself, baby boy. You're too delicate to talk with that attitude of yours in front of us," the boy declared and held Jimin's delicate wrist in his hand forcefully before pulling him up from his seat.

"Hyunjin stop it. Have some self-respect and leave him. Come here I want to talk to you about something important."

Jimin looked at the boy who stopped Hyunjin from going any further. He had black long and curly hair. His doe eyes were big with that cute nose and those beautiful thin lips. He was indeed handsome enough to make anyone take a second glance at his face.

Jungkook didn't see Jimin clearly as Jimin quickly pulled back and sat back on his seat with a frown on his pretty face so Jungkook didn't notice Jimin properly and walked out of the class followed by Hyunjin.

"No matter how much I try to stay away from these people they have to ruin everything. I can't even spend a day peacefully."

Jimin sighed heavily and looked at Jungkook walking out of the class. Jimin knew that he could fight back but he was relieved that Jungkook appeared at the right moment otherwise he was so tired to deal with things like this anymore. He quietly placed his head down at the desk and closed his eyes hoping for everything to go well.

"What do you want to talk about Jungkook?" Hyunjin asked as soon as they left the classroom.

"Namjoon hyung just called me. He told me to deliver some papers to Mr.Zac so you have to go with me in the evening."

"So finally your hyung is letting you do something in his business," Hyunjin said in a sarcastic tone while emphasizing the word business.

"Hyung loves me too much and that's why he always stays worried about me. He doesn't allow me to help him in anything for my own safety. I'm still a fifteen-year-old in his eyes," Jungkook replied defending his hyung.

And whatever Jungkook said was true. After the death of their father, Namjoon always treated Jungkook as his child although he was his younger brother. He couldn't risk Jungkook in any matter so he always tried to do everything on his own but now Jungkook was mature and he wanted to help Namjoon in the work their father established. Their father was Jungkook's role model and that's why he always wanted to be as powerful as his father was. Jungkook was cold like him. According to him, kindness is weakness and a weak person can never achieve anything he wants. It is much more secure to be feared than to be respected.

Jeon Junghoon was a respectable man who had four companies of his own and great wealth but little did people know he was a man who always wanted to be more feared and powerful than being liked and respected so he had his strong roots in the mafia. Jungkook was the same, he wanted to be powerful like his dad and that's why he really wanted to work with Namjoon and learn everything about this dark world. But still, he was Namjoon's little kookie so Namjoon was trying to keep him away from all these things but seeing his passion and love for this work, Namjoon had finally given up and allowed Jungkook to deal every matter with him but still using guns or murders were off-limits and on these rules, Jungkook was finally doing the thing he was always interested in.

"Okay, Jungkook.I'll come to you at five but right now I have other important things to deal with," Hyunjin mumbled while smirking at a sexy girl standing behind Jungkook.

As soon as Jungkook came back to the class bell rang and Mr.Sunghoo entered the class to take his lecture. Soon the lecture started and Jungkook was not in the mood of studying so he just took out his mobile from his pocket and busied himself with other things.

"If Namjoon would have listened to me in the morning when I was trying to sleep again to skip the college, I would not be here, sitting in this boring and shitty class," Jungkook muttered in almost like a whisper and leaned back in the seat not giving any shit to what the teacher was saying.

After the lecture, Jungkook and Hyunjin were sitting in the canteen with Felix and Hyunwoo when Jimin came and sat at the next table with his back facing them.

"Where were you in the first lecture Hyunjin?" Felix asked taking a sip from his drink.

"Nowhere I was just busy in something," Hyunjin replied with his attention now diverted towards Jimin.

"I know what that something was," Jungkook said while taking a sip of his banana milkshake.

"Yeah! Look who is taunting me. The boy who is with a new girl every night," Hyunjin murmured slightly annoyed at being interrogated.

"Oh, I just remembered. I didn't know you were gay Hyunjin. I never expected you to flirt with a boy in the class today," Jungkook said in a mocking tone.

"Did you even look at him? Did you see the boy I was flirting with, in the class today?" Hyunjin asked being a little more interested in the talk now.

"No. I'm not homo. I don't claim to be interested in girls and then flirt with some random good-looking boy," Jungkook murmured while nodding Hyunwoo to bring another glass of banana milk for him.

"Well, he is not just some random good-looking boy. Don't blame me or question my sexuality. He is just so pretty," Hyunjin replied looking at Jimin's back while Jimin was busy eating a pancake.

"Boys are handsome, not pretty for God's sake," Jungkook uttered being clearly annoyed.

"Well I've seen a few pretty boys before so don't say that boys can't be pretty. And I think that boy is the prettiest boy I have ever seen in my entire life. I saw Jack checking out his ass today although he is straightest man we know," Hyunjin said while standing up from his seat, "Look he is sitting right behind you."

Jungkook was curious as no matter how flirty Hyunjin was, he never praised anyone. Jungkook was about to get up from his seat when Jimin stood up and lifted his bag on his shoulder. When Jungkook stood up and turned he accidentally bumped into Jimin as Jimin was paying more attention to put the things in his bag than to look at his front while walking. When they bumped, Jimin stopped and looked up at Jungkook with a straight face.

This was the first time when Jeon Jungkook ever noticed someone in this way and especially a boy which was something new to him. Jungkook looked at Jimin's face. He had beautiful hooded brown and unique eyes, a cute little nose, naturally pink and plumped lips, sharp jawline with silky black hair. He was indeed the prettiest boy.

Beautiful things had always attracted Jeon Jungkook. And the boy standing in front of him was a true definition of beauty and elegance and Jungkook just forgot to blink his eyes for a few seconds.

"Excuse me," Jimin muttered while passing him and making his way out of the canteen. And that soft agile voice didn't go unnoticed by Jungkook. He was really charmed. And this was the first time when something mesmerized Jungkook to that extent and the most surprising thing was that it was a boy.

"Hello! Earth to Jungkook," Hyunjin said while moving his hand in front of Jungkook's face. Jungkook looked back at him and let out a breath he didn't know how long he had been holding and sat down on his seat again.

"Well, I guess now you'll stop questioning my sexuality. He is too pretty to be boy," Hyunjin said while raising his eyebrow at Jungkook.

"I guess you were right. Boys can be pretty. Now just shut up and let's go back to the class. Thank God it's the last lecture. I really want to bunk but Namjoon hyung must be getting information of everything I'm doing here," Jungkook uttered but his mind was still occupied with the thoughts of that one certain boy. After that, the bell rang and they went back to the class wanting that stupid lecture to be finished already.
